almost 37 years of professional experience primarily in Communication,
Scholarly Journal publishing and Research and Development Management and
Administration.
Nayan Kanwal’s life traces an international pathway that makes him an asset to
any educational organisation which is demonstrated from his broad outlook,
considerable cultural exposure and vast life experience.
While Nayan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture in 1982 from the
University of Papua New Guinea/Queensland University, Australia. He went on to
receive his Master’s degree in 1985 from the same university, and worked there
as a research associate for a year. In 1987, he went freelance to work in
Singapore. He obtained his doctorate in 2005 from France.
He has written on a wide range of subjects beyond his area of study,
agriculture. He has published articles in different publications as well as
book chapters in his long academic and professional career. He has also
authored and co-authored several research and development books. The subjects
he has written on range from management and administration of research to
higher education.
Nayan has established numerous scholarly journals, served as a reviewer to
many SCOPUS-indexed journals. He has also served as an external examiner/
evaluator for PHD thesis with several universities around the globe.
He has delivered countless lecturers, invited by universities in Malaysia,
Thailand, Indonesia and Russia; attended copious Seminars/Workshops/Courses
and has been invited as a Special Guest at more than a hundred Plenary/
Keynote/ Invited Talks. In addition, he has also been involved in research
consultancies in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), United Kingdom, a Life
Member of the British Institute of Management (BIM), United Kingdom, an
Associate Member of the Marketing Institute of Singapore (AMIS) and an
Associate Member of the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and
Technology (AIAST).
