Jeneifer C. Nueva is a Professor at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP). She completed her Bachelor of Science in Education major in English (cum laude) and a Master of Arts in English at Central Mindanao University, Philippines. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in English, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), at Silliman University, Philippines. She has been an English language educator for 25 years. She has developed (either as the primary author, co-author, or contributor) instructional materials in English and Literature. In 2016, she received an outstanding faculty award. She has been invited to serve as a resource speaker at various local, national, and international workshops. She has also attended several conferences related to English language pedagogy and organized regional, national, and international seminars and workshops.
She served as Instruction Director from August 2016 to March 2019 at Central Mindanao University. Her other designations included as Chair of the Department of Languages and Literature (2013–2016) and Editor-in-Chief (2015–2017) of an accredited multidisciplinary CMU Journal of Science. She has been a senior accreditor of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) since 2012. She joined the University of Southeastern Philippines on August 1, 2020. At present, she serves as Curriculum and Instruction Director and Advanced Studies Dean at USeP.
She has presented her research outputs at various conferences and published articles in refereed institutional, national, and international indexed journals. She received institutional and national best scientific paper awards for her research studies on discourse-based English language pedagogy. She has been invited to review papers published in national and international journals. She is a member of the editorial board of international journals.
As an extension worker, she initiated the "Teachers' Training on Organizing, Designing, Implementing, and Evaluating Remedial Reading Program" and "Enhancing Teachers' Translation Skills" (translating instructional materials from English to Cebuano) and served as a collaborator of the project on "Enhancing Reading and Storytelling Literacy Skills of the Matigsalug-Manobo Youths in Kitaotao, Bukidnon."
