Dr Geetha Subramaniam, is a Professor at the Faculty of Education, Languages, Psychology & Music at SEGi University, Malaysia. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the Auckland Institute of Studies, Auckland, New Zealand and honorary visiting professor at the International Institute of Management Sciences, Calcutta, India. An economics lecturer, she received her PhD from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Prior to her current position, Geetha had 19 years in Universiti Teknologi MARA, (UiTM), a year at the Graduate School of Business, SEGi University; has supervised more than 50 Masters Students and is currently supervising 20 PhD students.
Her research area of interest includes Labour Economics Issues, Flexible Working Arrangement, Women and Work, Millennials, Elderly, Development Economics Issues, Teaching & Learning and Educational Management. Dr Geetha serves as the Managing Editor of the Malaysian Journal of Qualitative Research (MJQR) and also sits on the editorial board of a few indexed journals. She has published in various indexed journals, a few chapters in books, and co-authored two Economics textbooks. She is currently working on many research grants and recently completed a Ministry of Education (FRGS) grant on “Theorising Productivity Using Work-Life Balance Approach Towards Better Social Well-Being Among Academics”.
