Terri-ann White spent 25 years at The University of Western Australia as a professor and as founding director of Institute of Advanced Studies (1999β2011) and director of UWA Publishing (2006β2020). She is currently a Senior Honorary Fellow in the Vice-Chancellery at UWA.
Terri-ann Whiteβs fiction and non-fiction writing has been published widely. Over the past two decades she has been a passionate collaborator with other artists: dancers, visual artists and musicians. Terri-ann has been involved in many arts and cultural organisations in Australia, as a practitioner and a board member. In 2021, she established a new Perth-based publishing house, Upswell Publishing. She is passionate about writing and literature and expression. She spent 14 years publishing books at UWA Publishing and in 2021 she launched Upswell, her publishing adventure. Contemporary dance turns me on, she says.
