“
What you have done is tremendous.
Horizon JHSSR looks splendid. Very impressive-
scholarly and well-crafted!
Congratulations to you and your associates
for producing an excellent journal!!
– Professor Roshan Attrey, North Carolina, USA

This refereed journal that spans all of the humanities and social sciences is an ideal gathering point and springboard for world-class scholars, especially those who remained eclipsed under Western colonization. It also opens up new spaces in terms of new theories, methodologies, philosophy, and innovations; new connectivity between different continents, and new connectivity and exchanges between different sciences.
This Journal is set to become a big star on the
horizon of a true globalizing publishing world, with
equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practices
in terms of topics and countries covered.
- Professor Christian Aspalter,
BNU-HKBU United International College, USA
“
I am beyond impressed that the Horizon-JHSSR
has found its way into a critical space of academia.
The platform brings scholars together to forward
their respective domains of research. From the
editorial board to the reviewers and authors,
contributing to the dissemination of knowledge is a
seamless process.
The journal attracts global authors and covers a
plethora of subjects that contributes to its prestige.
– Professor Rosenna Bakari, University of
Colorado, USA.
“
I am appreciative of the eye-opener resulting
from your initiative. First, the impressive editorial
board rings a bell! In fact, the selection of
scholarly articles of international standard
published in JHSSR make an excellent read for
average readers from across the 5 continents.
I feel you have excelled in engaging with top
reviewers and editors working presently with your
journal to maintain high standards at par with
good international journals.
Draconian changes are difficult to make but
they can be done with time and patience to boost
citations. Meanwhile carry on as best as you can
and as you have done these past years.
—Emeritus Prof. Tan Sri Dato' Dr. Syed
Jalaludin Syed Salim, Chancellor, Putra
Business School, Malaysia
“
JHSSR always kept the standard of high-
quality publications in the research areas.
For the first time, I am genuinely excited
reading scholarly articles! I truly feel inspired.
JHSSR really knows how to keep readers engaged
with their top articles. I always look forward to
your forthcoming issues.
– Dr Shariman Mustafa, Faculty of Industrial
Management, Universiti Malaysia Pahang
(UMP), Malaysia
“
Prof Kanwal is an excellent editor. More
scholars who wish to contribute to academic
writing need a dash of his irreverence and zero-fluff
enthusiasm. I am indeed a fan! JHSSR is Sizzlingly
Smart, Stunning, and Astute.

I have been following each issue of Horizon-
JHSSR since its first release in Dec. 2019. I am so
impressed and deeply impacted, by its phenomenal
growth, which is perhaps unique in the history of
‘open-access, peer reviewed research journals, in
the social sciences’.
I have noted, with keen interest, its growth, on all
parameters. As we check the parameters like total
downloads and total views, it has a phenomenal
growth of over 3600% (if we compare latest figure
with that of mid-2020), in downloads (with CAGR of
5.8%). [Details appended]
Kudos and my academic salute to the entire
academic team of JHSSR, for your invaluable
contribution to the field of social science research
publications. It is indeed a proud privilege to be
associated with JHSSR.
– Rabi Narayan Subudhi, Senior Professor of
Management and Editor, UGC-CARE Journal,
KIIT India.
“
JHSSR is a great journal to share practical
examples of where research can make a real
difference.
I have seen in many journals why a plethora of
marginally related articles are dumped together in
order to bring out on schedule (or perhaps with one or
two months advance) one of the two volumes per year.
But your journal is significantly different. It
carefully filters out the best articles and yet published
ahead of time!
– Professor Dr. Liza Lee, Chaoyang University of
Technology, Taiwan.
“
During my interaction with Nayan on Sociological
issues, he has proven that he genuinely cares about the
well-being of the journal, he lays his hands upon!
He continually strives to raise the visibility and
status of the title, and his dedication and drive have
helped him to achieve these goals in a short span of
time.
I am certain, JHSSR will soon be a top-ranking
journal in the region.
– Emeritus Professor Gregory Alan Myers,
Lancaster University, U.K.
“
Deciding on the journal to which to submit the
results of our hard work in the form of an article
manuscript is not an easy task. There are many
criteria that people might use. I have multiple
criteria. First, I want my work (and that of my co-
authors) to make an impact, not just in my field, but
across academia. To do this, online and easily
accessible production is necessary. I love the
concept of open access, but I am frightened off by
the generally high cost. This is not the case with
JHSSR, with its modest $100 fee.
Second, I don’t like to see my work boxed in a
silo with only others in my field. I like to be included
in an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary journal.
I have found many articles outside of my field that I
have really enjoyed reading. So, whether submitting
an article or looking for information that can be
used in your research, this is a great journal for
both.
It has not yet established itself as having a high
impact factor, but I know that will come. I’m not a
big fan of using impact factor to decide the journal
to which I will submit my manuscript, but for those
of you who need it based on the metric your
institution requires, be patient. It will definitely
come.
Give it a try!!
—Gary N. McLean, Professor Emeritus,
University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, USA.

Horizon Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences
Research (JHSSR) is a blessing to the global research
community. It helps researchers disseminate their
research to a worldwide audience.
While it publishes scientific articles for a minimal
fee, it ensures they pass a stringent review process and
observes the publication's high ethical standards.
Sustaining a non-profit journal publication is difficult,
but JHSSR has come this far. It has gained
overwhelming support from credible peer reviewers
across the globe.
I am impressed! Kudos to the passionate people
behind JHSSR's consistent quality, since its
establishment in 2019. Indeed, such commitment will
bring the journal to its greater heights in the very near
future. Congratulations!
– Professor Jeneifer C. Nueva, University of
Southeastern Philippines, Philippines.
